Apple to Launch 1TB Storage Models of iPhone 13 Pro; Other Models Start at 128GB

As a part of the biggest Apple event of 2021 on September 14, here is what you need to know about iPhone 13’s price, specs, and more.

According to a recent investor note from Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, two models of the new iPhone 13 range, the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max, will be available with 1 TB of storage for the first time. Kuo claims that the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini will include storage options of 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB, but no 64GB option. The iPhone 13 series will launch on September 14 at Apple’s ‘California Streaming’ event. The latest revelation ahead of the launch has highlighted the storage options available with the forthcoming smartphone range. In the iPhone 13 series, the Cupertino-based tech titan will release four smartphones, and it is said that Apple will reveal the AirPods 3 at the event, besides the new iPhone models, and offer them alongside the AirPods 2. The event will be broadcast live on the company’s website and YouTube channel. The new iPhone will launch with various extra features, including improved camera specifications, additional color options (perhaps even bubblegum pink), and a notch-less display.

Based on rumors, here’s what we know so far:

Price:

Apple might raise prices for the iPhone 13 lineup. Last year, Apple released four iPhone 12 models (iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max) at four different pricing points. For pricing, predictions are that the iPhone 13 will cost significantly more than the iPhone 12 — whose prices were $699, $799, $999, and $1,099, respectively. According to Trendforce, Apple will “maintain its aggressive pricing strategy,” which began with the iPhone 11, and could see a 30% year-over-year increase. It could suggest that the non-Pro price reverts to $699 and $799, rather than $729 and $829, as it was before the iPhone 12.

Colors and design:

iPhone 13 is rumored to have flat corners and the same overall size and form as the iPhone 12 versions. A higher camera bump and a shift in the camera’s location are reported to be the most noticeable visual changes on the outside. According to a previous rumor, the iPhone 13 Pro will be available in four colors including black, silver, rose gold, and sunset gold, while orange and pink are for the standard models. Recently, a Ukrainian e-commerce site disclosed the iPhone 13’s colors and storage possibilities, with the Pro variants available in black, silver, gold, and a new bronze hue.

Sizes:

· iPhone 13 Mini: 5.4-inch

· iPhone 13: 6.1-inch

· iPhone 13 Pro: 6.1-inch

· iPhone 13 Pro Max: 6.7-inch

Camera:

The camera on the iPhone 13 series might get an update, and the two Pro models may have an updated ultra-wide camera. The iPhone 13 Pro could also have a better telephoto camera, and some reports claim LiDAR could be included on all four models, allowing for better depth awareness. However, this information has not been confirmed as recent leaks haven’t mentioned this. Updates to the video recording software are also expected, including a new Portrait mode.

Battery:

According to reports, the battery will be slightly larger this year to provide balance to the higher power consumption from the ProMotion display or the always-on lock screen. L0vetodream, a Twitter leaker with an outstanding track record, tweeted the iPhone 12’s prospective capacities, and they are far greater than its predecessors. The iPhone 13 Pro Max will contain a 4,352mAh battery, while the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro will have 3,095mAh batteries. Larger batteries do not always imply that the phone will last longer. Apple may require additional energy to charge the always-on display.

iOS 15:

Updates to FaceTime will allow you to watch films and share information with others, a new Focus mode for managing notifications, and changes to Maps, Messages, Wallet, Weather, and other built-in apps are among the iOS 15 highlights. Several iOS 15 features will require an A12 Bionic CPU or later, but the iPhone 13 and its new Apple chip will handle it.
