After a reported feud with President Xi Jinping leading the Central Communist Party, it appears that Jack Ma’s bold statements might have cost him more than he expected.
Jack Ma, the Chinese tycoon of the business industry who is the founder of Alibaba Express and Ant Group. He has been ranked twenty-first on Forbes’ list of World’s Greatest Leaders and also featured World’s Most Influential People.
However, it appears he’s open and bold claims about an open and market-based economy might have landed him in hot waters. His bold statements might not have sat well with the Central Communist Party of China which is notorious for silencing opposing voices.
Jack Ma was supposed to appear as the judge for his Talent Hunt Show’s Finale but not only was he replaced. No sightings of him being publically seen were reported for about two months.
This has also affected his business with him being one of the richest men to losing about $12 billion over the last two months. Speculations around the Internet include both assertions that he had been taken in by the Government or has gone into hiding for his safety. This leads people around the globe to raise questions about the Chinese Government and their tolerance towards opposition as well as concerns for the tycoon’s safety.
