Kevin Mandia, CEO of FireEye, said that 18,000 organizations had the notorious code in their networks, but surprisingly it was only 50 that suffered major breaches. Among the targeted were the US Treasury, and the departments of homeland security, state and, defense.

The blame of the incident has been piled on to Russia be the Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, this claim was then further supported by the chairs of the Senate and House of Representatives’ intelligence committees.
