On 11 November 2020, it was brought in the open that Pakistan has joined a seven-nation digital cooperation organization as per Saudi Arabs request.
Under this organization, important discussions will be held on key issues regarding technology and IT improvement in the regions, digitalizing education and health systems followed by cybersecurity.
This organization shall include seven countries including Pakistan, Egypt, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and several others. To Pakistan’s interest, India has not been added to the organization yet.
The first meeting destination of this organization will be Riyadh, additionally, a meeting of all the ministers of member countries has also been set upon in which Syed Aminul Haq, Federal Minister for Information Technology, will be representing Pakistan.
This is truly a fruitful Initiative that will “help promote mutual cooperation among regional countries in the field of information technology”
