A man we all know; either as a former face of Microsoft or a guy who is incredibly rich. Like super-rich. Mr. Bill Gates is one of the most famous and know men of this era. But we all know more or less nothing about him. To give us an insight into his incredible journey; Netflix made out a documentary called “Inside Bill’s Brain: Decoding Bill Gates” that came out on September 20th, 2019, which was directed by Davis Guggenheim; an Oscar-winning director.
This three-part documentary talked about gates’ life; his childhood, education, Microsoft stewardship, marriage to his wife Melinda, and the charitable foundation they co-managed. In three different parts, they talked about three different major incentives that the foundation is working on that include improving sewage conditions in developing countries, eradicating polio, and developing a cleaner, safer form of nuclear power.
During the approx. 3 hour screen time of the documentary, there are rapids interviews with his biological relations i.e. his mother and his sister, there is an interview with his wife and other contemporaries; who talked about how much intelligent and hardworking Gates has been his entire life. They talked about how he cannot JUST DO NOTHING as he likes to be always working.
Even though the three-part documentary was named ‘decoding Gates’ it was more like ‘decoding his foundation’. There was minimal approach given to his personal life which, to be honest, is what people wanted to know. Otherwise, it definitely gave an overview of the life of the world’s RICHEST man with an overall net worth of 112.8 billion USD.
