Cyberpunk 2077 game is delayed until December, disheartening eager fans of one of the most awaited games of 2020.
The delay is for 21 days this time making the new release date December 10th. CD Projekt Red team took onto Twitter to share a post, apologizing to the fans who were eagerly waiting for this whilst also explaining why the team decided to delay the release by 21 days.
Cyberpunk 2077 was previously scheduled to release on November 19 after several delays. The developers had assumed that the game was ready to be released. However, it seems like there is much yet to be done in regards to preparing nine different versions of the game which are to be launched on different platforms.
The post also goes on to explain why this delay came to be after announcing the game has “gone gold” in early October. According to the post whilst ‘going gold’ means the “game is ready, can be completed, and has all content in it,” it doesn’t necessarily mean that the developers will stop raising the quality bar.
Cyberpunk 2077 has been one of the most awaited games of 2020. But with the latest holdup, it’s going to be just pinching in at the end of this year.
